Sheila Mitchell studied at Gray’s School of Art (Robert Gordon’s University)
and progressed to teach art at Secondary and College level in Aberdeen, Central Scotland and Strathclyde. Later in her career she worked as the Design Council Scotland, Education Officer.
Sheila now lives and works in Pittenweem, having had several sell outsolo exhibitions at the Pittenweem Art Festival. I also exhibit at the RGI, RSW RSA and VAS exhibitions, with private galleries. My work is also held in several private collections.
Sheila Mitchell was the winner of the Visual Arts Scotland, P.F. Award 2003 and the winner of the Visual Arts Scotland, Ann Redpath Award, 2007
